About the Seminar
This seminar aims to evaluate the social structure, rich cultural traditions, and social values of Himachal Pradesh. It will explore the parallel phenomena of continuity and change within this social system. The discussion will focus on how traditional society—centred on family, community, and folk traditions—has been influenced by modern factors such as education, migration, globalisation, and new ideologies.
Objectives of the Seminar
- To deeply understand and evaluate Himachal Pradesh's social structure, traditions, customs, and cultural heritage.
- To discuss the changes that have occurred in society over time and deliberate on their causes and effects.
- To understand the continuity of social institutions from historical, sociological, and cultural perspectives.
- To explore how traditions and modern ideologies coordinate with each other and influence the society.

Call for Papers & Publication
- Participants Invited:Scholars, experts, local intellectuals, social workers, teachers, researchers, and students from fields like History, Sociology, Anthropology, Political Science, Folklore, and Environmental Studies.
- Languages:Hindi and English.
- Word Limit: 3000-5000 words.
- Fonts: Kruti Dev 010 (size 12) for Hindi; Times New Roman (size 12) for English.
- Publication:Selected original and high-quality research papers will be published.
