Description

Commemorating the Visionary Legacy of Thakur Ramsingh Ji: 111th Birth Anniversary Celebration

The Thakur Ramsingh Itihas Shodh Sansthan, Neri (Hamirpur), cordially invites you and your family to join us in celebrating the 111th Birth Anniversary (Jayanti Samaroh) and History Day on Sunday, February 15, 2026. This landmark event is a tribute to a pioneer who redefined the study of Indian history through a lens of cultural pride and scholarly rigor.

The Life and Mission of Thakur Ramsingh Ji

Born on February 16, 1915, in the quiet village of Jhandwi, Hamirpur, Thakur Ramsingh Ji was a brilliant mind from a humble farming background. After completing his primary education locally, he pursued higher studies in Lahore, where he achieved the rare distinction of ranking first in his M.A. in History in 1942.

While he was offered a prestigious professorship at his college due to his academic excellence, he made the selfless choice to decline it. Instead, he dedicated his entire life to social service as a Pracharak for the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). From 1942 to 1988, he held various significant responsibilities within the organization before being tasked with leading the Akhil Bharatiya Itihas Sankalan Yojana in 1988.

As its National President (1992–2000), he traveled tirelessly to every district of India, establishing a network of scholars and awakening them to the richness of Indian historical traditions. He believed that "history, art, and culture are the pillars of a nation's collective consciousness," providing direction for the present and inspiration for the future.

Institutional Vision

Under his guidance, the Neri Shodh Sansthan was established on October 7, 2002. The institute stands today as a testament to his dream of creating a permanent, systemic infrastructure for historical and scientific research based on Indian knowledge traditions (Bharatiya Gyan Parampara).
